Arturo Solorio was born in Jalisco, Mexico, and raised in the small town of Cowiche, Washington. He started his photography journey in 2013 when a close friend introduced him to a digital camera. He has learned about many genres of photography, including, landscape, portrait, street photography, surrealism, and documentation.
In 2018 he tested an old film camera his father had gifted him, a Pentax k1000. Since then, he has primarily used film cameras to photograph his work and rarely leaves his home without one.
He captures emotion, a familiar feeling, and his personality with color, light, text, shapes, and textures.
